Who am I?

I am an artist working from a home studio, who sells paintings directly to clients and through this website.

 

How do I collect information from you?

I collect information from you:

  •   when you make an enquiry

  •   when you make a purchase

  •   when I need to make a delivery

  •   when using a camera for a photoshoot with your express permission and cooperation

  •   when you sign up to my newsletter/marketing communications

 

What type of information is collected from you?

You may be asked to submit personal information about yourself when you make a purchase, request a quote or if I need to visit you. I will collect this information so I can fulfil your purchase, send invoices, make visits or deliveries to you, email you about shows and exhibitions.

I collects information such as:

  •  title

  • name

  •  e-mail address (used for purchase confirmation and feedback emails)

  • address

  • phone number

  • photographs

  • any additional personal information that you have agreed to share with me in order for me to fulfil your request

 

Cookies and location information:

If you use my website, I may receive your generic location (such as city or region) but this gives me no additional personal information, other than the number of visits from a generic location e.g. London, and which pages are visited most often.  I do not collect data from my Site visitors other than this.  I have the capability to research further, but so not do so.  If I decide to research my Site visitors further, you will be informed here.

 

How is your information used?

My use of your personal data will always have a lawful basis, either because it is necessary to complete a sale, because you have consented to my use of your personal data (e.g. by subscribing to our newsletter/marketing communications), or because it is in my legitimate interests. I require the information outlined in the previous section to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:

  • Internal record keeping and accounting.

  • To send you service emails (purchase confirmation, appointment confirmation, communication and feedback).

  • To send marketing communications if you have opted in to receive them.

Any personal information I request from you will be safeguarded under current legislation.

I will never sell nor distribute your personal information.  I will only share your personal information to third parties on when it is necessary to fulfil and process a financial transaction.  Should you purchase an art work from my website, card payments are fulfilled by Square.  I also use a Square card reader for face to face payments.  I do not have access to your credit or debit card details whilst using Square's services, and any personal details Square collect from you are provided by you in order to fulfil a transaction.  Square will send me only the personal details necessary to fulfil a sale.

 

How and where do I store data?

I will retain Personal Data for the period necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. Please note that I have a variety of obligations to retain the Data that you provide to me, including to ensure that transactions can be appropriately processed, settled, refunded or charged-back, to help identify fraud and to comply with anti-money laundering and other laws and rules that apply to me and to my financial service providers. There may also be residual Data that will remain within my databases and other records, which will not be removed.

 

Your choices

My newsletter subscription is optional. I will not contact you for marketing purposes by email, phone or text message unless you have given your prior consent.  I will never pass your details to any third parties.

This website nor its owner will ever ask for personal or sensitive information through social media platforms and encourage users wishing to discuss sensitive details to contact them through primary communication channels such as by telephone or email.

 

This website may use social sharing buttons which help share web content directly from web pages to the social media platform in question. Users are advised before using such social sharing buttons that they do so at their own discretion and note that the social media platform may track and save your request to share a web page respectively through your social media platform account.

Data security is very important to me, and to protect your data I have taken suitable measures to safeguard and secure data collected through my Site.

Financial fulfilment and internet purchasing

When using Square to fulfil purchases, I do not collect any financial data from clients, and Square do not share your financial
